Ruean Thai Hotel

Stunningly beautiful property which is like a museum and a wonderful introduction to Thai history and culture. The owners have definitely made this a labour of love - it was originally a guesthouse which underwent huge renovations. The owners offer free transfers to downtown and the bus station. Huge praise goes out to the chef(s). The breakfasts were great but we ate dinner every night and Thai, Chinese and Western menu items were all delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were all very attentive and kind, offering helpful advice and sightseeing tips. We'll be back November 6-16 for Loy Kratong!

The hotel was beautiful and very well maintained. The staff were kind, attentive, and really made our stay special. The reception team went above and beyond, giving us great recommendations for visiting the historical park and suggesting plenty of other activities too. The location was also ideal, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sukhothai!

The staff is kind, welcoming and helpful in every way. The room is clean and lovely, with ac. The entire hotel is impeccable. Dinner and breakfast so delicious that you need not go elsewhere. Service with everyone smiling. Driver and van available to take you to historical park or bus station. Swimming pool beautiful and a real plus.

We had stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and were very pleased so on a trip up north we decided to try it again. Firstly, as with everything there was a price increased, however wasn't expecting100%. 4 years ago we paid £20 per night including breakfast, this time it was £45. Putting price aside the great selling point of this hotel is the pool, it is in the middle of the hotel and all rooms overlook it. The staff were fantastic, so attentive 4 helped us to our room! they had to split the 100 baht tip. Breakfast is very good for a westerner in thailand. We had food in the restaurant too and it was terrific, service was excellent too.

The hotel was set in a quiet lane surrounded by a beautiful teak fence and large well established trees, which add to the tranquility of the hotel. The family that owners and runs the hotel has been there many generations and take great pride in providing the best experience and services for their customers. Song, the daughter of the owner is extremely helpful and speaks excellent English, which was very helpful in explaining the different historical parks and other interesting places to visit in the area. She works at their checkin desk and was there to greet us on our arrival. The restaurant is very quaint with trees growing through the roof, great ambiance, and the food was very good, Thai and western choices. They have a wonderful Saltwater pool in the middle of the hotel which was very refreshing after a day of exploring the historical parks in the region! Very nice and relaxing 3 day stay!
